Hibs Match Report And Views Of The Season So Far!!

Aberdeen went to Easter Road yesterday but failed to score in the sixth out of seven SPL games so far this season. The Dons captain Ricky Foster did have a few descent chances and went close a few times but he didn't quite manage to hit the back of the net.  Scott Vernon played as the lone striker but never got to much service, saying that he didn't really look that sharp anyway. Big Josh Magennis, Kari Arnason and substitute Peter Pawlett also went close but the Dons just couldn't get the goal to claim three points.

September really is an important month for the Dons with games we should be taking points out of. We have one new striker and we have also opened talks with Newzealand international Rory Fallon. Surely if we can get Chalali up to match fitness and get him a run in the team along with signing Fallon we can start to build some points and move up the league.

The Dons face Kilmarnock at Pittodrie on Saturday in a game that could see Rory Fallon make his debut. We then have to face East fife in the cup, Motherwell away and Dunfermline at Pittodrie. Staying in the cup is a major priority for the Dons as the team gels. Hopefully if we can keep a good cup run going it will bring a sense of hope to the players and the fans and could even lead us back to Europe next season.

I'm still confident we can turn things round and get our season underway but we are running out of time to get that run of good form going. Come on Aberdeen hit the goal trail and give us Dons fans something to cheer.
