Deadline Day Ends With No More Players

Aberdeen ended transfer deadline day with no more players coming in and Michael Paton going on loan to Stockport so the dream of repeating the above is still a long way away. With three young players being shipped out I was sure there was at least one more to come. The Dons had been linked with James McFadden and what ever happened to Rigters?. One more striker was needed to not only create extra competition but also provide some excitement for the fans.

I do think that the current squad will climb the table and all the speculation of relegation battles already is ridiculous. Brown did the right thing by getting the majority of players in early so they would have more time to gel. Only the next 3-4 weeks will tell how the season is going to take shape. With Mohamed Chalali being added to the team along with all of our other new acquisitions I'm sure the Dons will do fine.

I hope Craig Brown is not planning a move for Rangers flop James Beatie who is now a free agent after being dumped by the Huns. Although all of us Dons fans are disappointed with transfer deadline day we need to get behind our team because talk of relegation and constant boo boy antic will not help the situation.
