Dons Didn't Deserve A 2-0 Defeat!!!!
The Dons went to Ibrox on Sunday having just won 2 games back to back. Surprisingly Aberdeen manager Craig Brown started with Algerian striker Mohamed Chalali who only made the bench. The first didn't really have mush for the Dons to get excited about with Rangers taking the lead in the 14th minute with a goal from Steve Davis. The Aberdeen five man midfield seemed out of place in the first half create any clear cut chances and Rangers seemed to be pretty comfortable. When the Don kicked of the second half it was a different outlook all together. Aberdeen dominated the majority of the second half and went close on a number of occasions.
Vernon, Arnason, and Mawene all went close during the second half but the Dons player who had the best chance was Ricky Foster who hit the bar with a header toward an open net. The chance just showed how unlucky the Dons were. Aberdeen did concede a second in the 90th minute when Colombian keep Gonzalez made a big mistake to allow the Gers in.
The Dons performance was very encouraging and I don't think we will be near the bottom of the league for very long. With word of another new striker on the way things can only get better. With Hibs being our opponents next Sunday it is a must win game which could help to move us up the SPL.
