A Fluent And Dominant Performance
The Dons look great this afternoon against lower league Forfar Athletic with some excellent movement and passing. The team lined up in a 3-4-3 formation with big Andy considine as the stand in captain with Ricky Foster not being risked. Aberdeen took hold of the reins right from the off and created an abundance of chances for the travelling fans . The Dons finally ran out 0-3 but it could have easily been 7 or 8 but with Villa Real on tuesday night and the start of the SPL campaign next week this was overall impressive performance to help build morale. If the Dons can keep the momentum going in to the Villa Real game and come away with a descent result but more importantly a good performance i'm confident we will start the season by clinching all three points. It was nice to see big Rob Milsom grabbing a goal tonight as he has been brilliant in the heart of the Dons midfield all pre-season. The other two goals came from big Scott Vernon and the ever impressive Ryan Jack.
All in all I think all of the red army can look forward to a better season and perhaps even some cup success this season.
