Arnason Becomes A Don

Kari Arnason has now agreed to become Aberdeen's fifth major signing of the closed season. The defensive midfield player impressed in the two games he played in for the Dons against both Deveron Vale and Inverurie Locos. In both games he seemed comfortable on the ball and knew where and when to play the right pass along with a clinical finish against Inverurie to seal the deal.

The Icelandic international midfielder wasn't involved in today's game against Forfar Athletic as he has gone back down south to pack up and come back to Aberdeen. Kari will complete the move on Monday following a medical and will be available for selection against Villa Real on Tuesday night and more importantly against St Johnstone at the start of the new SPL season next week.

In my opinion Kari will be an excellent addition to the squad and will give us extra option in midfield and also at the back. The only thing Craig Brown needs now is another goal keeper and one more attacker to boost competition for places. All in all I am very optimistic looking ahead to the new season.
