Raith Rovers 1-1 Aberdeen

Sorry for the delay on the game but i have been ill for the last few days. Aberdeen went to starks park on saturday with all dons fans fearing another disappointment was on the horizon. Aberdeen controlled the majority of the first half creating plenty of good chance without any goals. With no goals being scored for the dons Raith pounced and went in to the break 1-0 up much to the anger of the dons support.

Aberdeen came out bright in the second half and almost levelled with in a few minutes. After that Raith really took control of the game and looked the most likely to go on to win the tie. Aberdeen keeper Jamie Langfield kept the dons in the game with a number of high quality saves.

With the end of the match beckoning Mark McGhee brought on Aluko, Pawlett and big Zander Diamond to try and come up with an equaliser. 5 minutes in to stoppage time the dons finally grabbed a goal to secure a cup replay at Pittodrie. Gary Mcdonald was the man who scored from a sliced Charlie Mulgrew cross.

This was far to close a call but I am more than happy to still see the dons in the Scottish Cup, lets just hope we can get the job done at todders next week.
