A superb display from the dons

Aberdeen put in a great shift this afternoon at rugby park against a Kilmarnok team managed buy Jimy Calderwood who lead the dons to european football on a year ago. The first half was a midfield battle with no proper chances created. Once the second half started the dons came out steaming and controled an action packed second half.

A single overhead volley from striker derek young won the game for the dons who thorouly deserved the 3 points. In my opinion derek young was with out a doubt a worthy man of the match with his possible goal of the season winner.

A vital 3 points in the hunt for european action next season and a step closer to catching hibs and dundee utd in 3 and 4 place. With the possibility of Steven Mclean still coming to pittodrie and darren barr still also a possibility thing are looking good at todders.
